Education:
Associate degree in a relevant technical field
Relevant Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of field service experience
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong vacuum technology background is beneficial (e.G., vacuum systems, turbopumps, dry pumps, booster pumps, leak detectors, rotary vane pumps, vacuum gauges, and cryo pumps)
Ability to build robust customer relationships and drive aftermarket sales and services.
Proficiency in electronics, electrical systems, and mechanical skills.
Demonstrated responsiveness to customer needs.
Solid organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, displaying self-initiative.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
Valid driver s license
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The job may require:
Work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.
Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and challenging environmental factors like heights, toxic chemicals, electrical hazards, and vibration.
Frequent travel (80% of the position) domestically and internationally, often overnight or spanning multiple days.
Physical Requirements:
Regular sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs to multiple floors, and talking or hearing.
Occasional use of hands and fingers for typing, dialing, climbing, or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, and reaching with hands and arms.
Lifting and moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
Extensive computer use.
Good vision capabilities, including close, color, distance, and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus.
This role involves substantial travel, often requiring overnight stays and covering both domestic and international destinations.
