We are looking for a skilled machine shop operator to join their team. If you re adept at reading blueprints, have a knack for problem-solving, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. Position offers a daylight schedule, Monday - Friday 6:00 am 2:30 pm. Overtime is available, but not mandated. Pay to commensurate with experience. A generous benefit package is offered.
POSITION
Responsibilities include:
Blueprint Proficiency You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints accurately to understand project specifications
Procedural Expertise Determine the appropriate procedures and materials needed to meet blueprint requirements
Machine Operation Set up and operate Lathes, Mills, and Horizontal Boring Mills to machine parts according to specifications
Optimized Performance Adjust machine settings for optimal speed and feed rates to maximize efficiency and tool life
Independent Work Work with minimal supervision to consistently produce high quality results
Programming Skills Write and edit programs as necessary to ensure smooth machine operation
Diagnostic Abilities Identify and troubleshoot machine tool problems, making repairs as needed
Mathematical Proficiency Strong math skills are essential for precise measurements and calculations
Logical Thinking Utilize logical thinking to solve problems and optimize processes
G-Code Familiarity Prior experience with G-Codes is preferred for programming machine actions
