This position involves handling inside sales for the Door and Hardware division of the company. The primary responsibility is to promote and sell products from the product line. Additionally, the role includes providing assistance in estimating and project management for smaller orders. Meeting company standards in this position contributes to the overall efficiency and profitability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all product lines and items. Utilize a customized computer software system to prepare and manage all necessary paperwork. Place orders for non-stock parts required to fulfill counter sales. Provide a friendly and welcoming greeting to customers entering the showroom. Handle phone calls and web inquiries promptly and courteously. Assist walk-in customers in selecting suitable merchandise for their projects. Retrieve door hardware for customer orders and help with merchandise loading when needed. Occasionally visit customer job sites. Ensure accurate fulfillment of all orders. Collaborate with Estimating-sales/Project Management teams as required. Cultivate and nurture relationships with sales representatives from HSC's suppliers. Participate in end-of-day closing and lock-up procedures. Perform any additional duties assigned by management. This role is a dynamic position that may evolve over time. Management may add, remove, or modify duties as needed. The success in this role will be measured by achieving sales goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining accuracy in work, and demonstrating a positive attitude in customer service and the workplace.
Working Hours and Compensation:
Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Hourly wage: $17.50 to $18.50, with the possibility of commission after six months. Payment frequency: Biweekly. Comprehensive full-time benefits package included. Occasional local travel may be required for pickups or deliveries.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and technical skills. Excellent mechanical aptitude. Proficiency in computer usage. Keen attention to detail.
